Friends of The Lincoln 2010 We kicked off this year with a full season, including appearances by world-renowned pianist Emile Pandolfi, the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, a reprise of the grand reopening performance by Riders in the Sky, and much more. We partnered with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to bring top-notch jazz percussionist Robert Jospé for an evening concert as well as an assembly program for Smyth County students. This summer, we once again offered local children the opportunity to participate in Missoula Children’s Theatre summer residency program. More than sixty local children were cast, rehearsed every day for a week, and presented a full-scale musical to the community on Saturday. Through your support and the support of partnering organizations, we continue to be able to provide this program free to local children. We’ve partnered with University of North Carolina public television to bring our award-winning Song of the Mountains concert series into even more homes around the country. Currently, 22 million Americans have access to this program — taped live montly on the stage of The Lincoln. Can we count on your financial support this year? Many giving levels are available, and each one helps to ensure we’ll be offereing a wide array of cultural events to the community in the coming year.
